PROGRAMMES / EVENTS

CCA Fair	January	The CCA Fair provides a platform for the Guitar Ensemble to showcase our programmes and attract the Sec 1s to join the CCA. At the booths, members will share the various programmes the ensemble takes part in over the years and allow the Sec 1s to try out the guitars under the guidance of the ensemble members.
Chinese New Year Concert	February	The Guitar Ensemble performs for the school as part of the Chinese New Year Celebrations through a video recording. The students hone their skills and confidence by entertaining the audience with familiar Chinese New Year melodies.
Masterclass workshop	March	The workshop allows the students to get valuable feedback from other conductors on how to improve on the articulation and dynamics on the set piece for their Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Competition or to learn how to take care of their guitars.
Learning Journeys / Concerts / workshops for various guitar performances / skills	June – December	The Learning Journeys, Concerts or workshops will give members the opportunity to witness performances from ensembles in other schools, polytechnics or other institutions and to pick up new skills such as the maintenance of their guitars.
Values in Action	June - December	To provide a platform for the members to be socially responsible citizens who contribute meaningfully to the community, through the learning and application of values, knowledge and skills.
Annual Bonding & Training Camp	October / November	The annual Bonding Day is held during the Year-End holiday so as · to forge a stronger bond among Sec 1 to Sec 3 students through fun and games, · to provide opportunity to the sec 3 CCA leaders to practice their leadership skills by empowering them to plan and run activities themselvess · to nurture and identify potential leaders and provide them with the necessary skills for future appointment in guitar.
