PROGRAMMES / EVENTS

CCA Fair	January	The CCA Fair provides a platform for the Guitar Ensemble to showcase our programmes and attract the Sec 1s to join the CCA. At the booths, members will share the various programmes the ensemble takes part in over the years and allow the Sec 1s to try out the guitars under the guidance of the ensemble members.
Masterclass workshop (to prepare for SYF)	March	Building up to the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF), the Guitar Ensemble will be going on exchange with other schools to share good practices and techniques on how to improve their individual playing.
2025 Singapore Youth Festival	April	The Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) is an annual event organised by the Ministry of Education to celebrate the achievements of our youths in their co-curricular activities (CCAs). Starting in April and culminating in a month-long celebration in July, the SYF will engage students from schools across Singapore involved in the performing arts, sports, and uniformed group CCAs.
Learning Journeys / Concerts / workshops for various guitar performances / skills	Whole Year	The Learning Journeys, Concerts or workshops will give members the opportunity to witness performances from ensembles in other schools, polytechnics or other institutions and to pick up new skills such as the maintenance of their guitars.
Masterclass workshop	March / November	The workshop allows the students to get valuable feedback from other conductors on how to improve on the articulation and dynamics on the set piece for their Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Competition or to learn how to take care of their guitars.
Values in Action	Whole year	To provide a platform for the members to be socially responsible citizens who contribute meaningfully to the community, through the learning and application of values, knowledge and skills.
Annual Bonding & Training Camp	October/ November	The annual Bonding Day is held during the Year-End holiday so as to forge a stronger bond among Sec 1 to Sec 3 students through fun and games, to provide opportunity to the sec 3 CCA leaders to practice their leadership skills by empowering them to plan and run activities themselves to nurture and identify potential leaders and provide them with the necessary skills for future appointment in guitar.
Preparation for CCA Fair 2026 – Introduction of new songs	September - December	Preparation for the CCA Fair for the following year.
