Reading Programme |

The MTL Reading programme is a structured programme infused into the curriculum which aims to expose the students to different genres of writing; from narrative stories to news articles so that they can be critical and creative thinkers who are connected locally and globally. |
Festival Celebrations |
Term 1 to 4 |
The festival Celebrations are vibrant and diverse, reflecting the multicultural tapestry of the nation. These celebrations include Chinese New Year, Deepavali, Hari Raya Puasa, and Mid Autum Festival, etc. Students eagerly participate in various activities such as traditional dances, music performances, arts and crafts workshops, and food fairs, showcasing the richness of each cultural tradition. These festivals not only foster a sense of pride and belonging among students of different backgrounds but also promote cross-cultural understanding and appreciation within the school community. Through these festivities, our students celebrate diversity, unity, and the spirit of inclusivity. |
Mother Tongue Fortnight Programme |
Term 1 to 2 |
The objective of MTL Fortnight is to ignite students’ interest and appreciation for the Mother Tongue Languages and culture. It provides an enhanced and immersive learning experience for students through various cultural workshops and engaging language activities within and beyond the classroom. |
Mother Tongue Languages Intensive Programme |
Term 2

Targeted for Secondary Express/ 5 Normal Academic and 4 Normal Academic (‘O’ Level students), this programme aims to prepare graduating students for the O Levels paper in late May/ early June through intensive revision and practices. |
Theatre Exposure |
Term 2 to 4 |
Different levels will be exposed to different types of drama and theatre performances with the aim of inculcating appreciation of the arts and culture as well as to develop critical analytical skills. |
Learning Journey – Heritage Trail |
Term 2- 4 |
To provide students with the opportunity to explore different heritage sites in Singapore and have a greater understanding about their culture through various activities and authentic learning experiences. |
